Sláger Rádió - who is leader in all targets apart from the youngest generation - has increased its revenue by more than 10% during the first 6 months of the year compared to same period last year. Its net revenue (including agency discounts and year end bonus) was 2,34 billion HUF. Sláger has even the best results during the commercially most important prime time period, where they have been unbeatable for ages.
The biggest rival, Danubius Radio, who has improved its position among the 18-49 age group in the past months, didn't announce absolute numbers, just said that they expect a 6% yearly increase. The smaller stations don't complain either. Radio Cafe has increased its revenue by 15 % in the first half year. Their forecast for the year is 250-300 million HUF as Laszlo Rafael commercial and marketing director informed us.
Titusz Tisztarto, general manager at Roxy Radio - which has quite similar reach figures among the 15-29 age group as the top 2 stations -, highlighted as one of the most important results of the first half year their agreement with ORTT: followed by professional conversations, Roxy's broadcasting fee could be decreased by 50% - from a very high, more than 100 million HUF level. Info Radio closed 1st half year 2006 with quite the same results proportionally as total year 2005. Their figures for 2005 are 580 million HUF revenue and 20 million HUF net profit- said Marton Modos, general manager and head of editors.
