On March 17th, 2008 a new star rose over Bulgaria - STAR FM (www.starfm.bg) with a distinctive rock sound. The hallmarks of STAR FM are the legendary core rock artists like Eric Clapton, The Who, The Rolling Stones along with the softer sounds of artists such as Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Bryan Adams. Listen for 15 minutes and it is clear that STAR FM is a rock station - whatever you hear will be rock but it won't the kind of rock that will hurt your ears or frighten your neighbors. All the rock on STAR FM is 'classic' which means it has deep roots in the rock genre and has stood the test of time.

STAR FM was created by the people of Bulgaria. Based on extensive nationwide research it was evident that there was a real hunger for a radio station that played only 'classic' rock from both international and Bulgarian artists. While much of the music could be heard in bits and pieces on other radio stations in the market there was no 'home' for the significant number of rock aficionado's. Now they have one with STAR FM.

The target audience of STAR FM is adults over 30 years of age and with a male skew. We know this consumer is valuable to a wide range of advertisers and the environment on STAR will be very conducive to reaching this audience.
