Radio Fresh! is the top rated Contemporary Hit Radio (CHR) station in Bulgaria, and among the top five national radio stations in the country. In early 2007 Emmis International became majority shareholder in Radio Fresh! and is proud to now operate two of the most successful radio brands in Bulgaria - Radio Fresh! and Radio FM+!
Radio Fresh! was launched in 2002 as a fresh new station for the 15-30 year old Bulgarian youth market. Radio Fresh! offers modern hit music, topical entertainment, and short news segments, geared to an active, internet-generation audience. Radio Fresh! presenters also provide listeners with up-to-date weather and traffic information.
Radio Fresh! reaches a national audience, covering 22 cities in Bulgaria, including Sofia, the nation's capital. The station's central studio is in Sofia, but it also has local offices in another 11 cities throughout the country in order to better serve its local listeners, advertising clients, and the community at large.
Before it became Radio Fresh! in 2002, the station itself was known as Radio Pleven Plus, launched in 1995 for an older audience. The original Radio Pleven Plus team is still in place today - having successfully transformed their station into Radio Fresh!
